Morten Joe debuts with his first 4-tracker Bikejacking, where he’s riding a flow of dark and curious sounds and rhythms. This EP is a product of a deep dive into drum racks, glitched-up basses ominous synths. A Bergen-take on broken beats, breaks and bass.

‘Bikejacking’ positions the drums in the centre of the sonic solar system. They’re flanging in and out of existence with the constant support of a thick subbass. Crisp sounds and stacks of beat repeats make for an adrenaline-rushed experience, just like one would picture a GTA-style bikejacking. This vibe is continued in ‘Minor bugfix’, which explores the balance of rhythmic comfort. A 4-handed drummer is constantly trying to throw you off balance before luring you into a gentle bobbing of the head.

‘Look Down’ takes you to a grotty basement where chugging drums rumble your belly and glitchy loops keep you on guard. We stay in this basement for the closing track of the EP “Steady State Solution”. Let your mind float away in the dark comfort of a heavy bassline, atmospheric textures and hard tom hits.
